Thanks to the continued generosity of the Liber Foundation, the London Mathematical Society is delighted to announce that it will again be able to award a number of Emmy Noether Fellowships in 2022, up to a total of £25,000.
These fellowships are designed to enhance the mathematical research, broadly construed, of holders either re-establishing their research programme after returning from a major break associated with caring responsibilities or those requiring support to maintain their research programme while dealing with significant ongoing caring responsibilities. The amount awarded for each fellowship will reflect the individual requirement of the applicant.
The Society continues to be most grateful to the Liber Foundation for its exceptionally generous support. The Emmy Noether Fellowship scheme is particularly important at the moment, when many mathematicians are finding their work disrupted by caring responsibilities’.
More information about the Fellowships and how to apply is available here. The deadline for applications is Friday 29 April 2022.
