We are excited to congratulate the winners of the 2024/25 Mathematika Prize for Excellent PhD Thesis, Federico Barbacovi (Flop-flop autoequivalences and compositions of spherical twists – supervised by Ed Segal) and Xin Guan (Nonlinear interfacial waves in two/three-layer Euler flows – supervised by Jean-Marc Vanden-Broeck).
Each year, Mathematika proudly awards the prize to two PhD students in the Mathematics Department of University College London (UCL). The recipients are determined by the UCL Mathematics department, and the prize is administered by the London Mathematical Society, funded by the proceeds of Mathematika.
