The detailed business of the LMS is run by various committees, involving many members, to whom the Society is extremely grateful. The LMS Council must make appointments to these committees while ensuring the diversity of our membership is represented, and that committees remain fresh and energetic. Committees must also have good subject and demographic balance, which means we may not always be able to appoint otherwise suitable candidates. All LMS committee members serve a three-year term in the first instance. A list of LMS committees can be found here.
To register your interest in joining any LMS committee, please complete the online form here by Wednesday 30 April 2025. Your details will be kept on record (confidentially) for when the relevant committees next have a vacancy.
